December 2022 Meeting

At our dinner meeting on December 14th, the program was “The Dickens Carolers in Concert.” The Dickens Carolers, Kansas City’s premiere professional Christmas Caroling company, celebrated their 39th season of holiday caroling in 2022. Brad Zimmerman is the founder and manager and runs the Chestnut Fine Arts Theatre. The Dickens Carolers currently have 25 members and they perform at 175-250 different events during the holiday season. Our dinner meeting was the fifth event that the Dickens Carolers had performed that day!

The Dickens Carolers were costumed in beautiful tum-of-the-century attire which added a very festive spark to our dinner meeting. They sang traditional Christmas hymns such as: “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”, “Angels We Have Heard on High”, “Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella”, and “Carol of the Bells.” The Dickens Carolers also sang secular Christmas songs such as: “Deck the Halls”, “Jingle Bells”, “Frosty the Snowman”, “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas”, and concluded with “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

This was a very enjoyable program.
